THE TOURIST AREA

Kato Paphos has developed as a quiet family holiday resort without the more excessive activities which are on offer at the other end of the island, aimed chiefly at younger holidaymakers!

The coastal area extends from the old fort in the west to the developing part to the east where new shops and attractions are being created.  On the way you will find many facilities including the famous Pelican Taverna, shops, bars and gift shops with a wide range of high quality locally made leather and lace goods.

Several beaches are available for safe bathing in crystal clear water which is particularly good for underwater exploration with only flippers, a snorkel and mask!  Or you can see much the same sights by taking a trip on one of several glass-bottomed boats - without even getting wet!
